Light peels are usually repeated every two to four weeks, and a professional consultation is advised before someone's first peel. Dermaplaning relies on a sterile surgical blade to clear away dead skin and fine vellus hair, and is generally scheduled every three to four weeks. Clients with current acne, inflamed breakouts or very sensitive skin are advised against it. Diamond microdermabrasion buffs the skin with fine crystals and usually involves a course of six to eight sessions, two to three weeks apart.
