Skin Essentials by Juliet is a small, private studio in Roseville that was newly renovated. The studio is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed Sunday and Monday.

The waxing menu covers the front and back of the body, the arms and legs, and the face. The Brazilian wax is $75 per visit and removes hair from the front, including the labia, and the booty. Combos pair it with an underarm wax for $95, a hydro jelly mask for $90, or a lower leg wax for $110. Other options include a bikini wax at $45, full arm and full back waxes, and facial waxing for the lip, chin, brows, sideburns and full face. Inner thigh and stomach strips can be added to a Brazilian for $15 each. Hair should be about a quarter inch long, or two to three weeks of growth, before a wax, and waxing results usually last three to four weeks.

Facials are customized to the client's skin on the day and run 45 to 90 minutes. Customized facials are priced from $95 to $160 depending on skin needs and session length. The Glow Ritual Facial is $95 for 60 minutes and suits first-time clients and monthly maintenance. The Alignment Facial starts at $120 for 60 minutes and is recommended as a series every four to six weeks. Extractions are offered when a client's skin calls for them. A chemical peel can be added for $75 and up, and body facials for the booty, vagacial, back, and belly are available as add-ons.

Booking is by appointment only, and new clients are welcome. Online booking runs through Gloss Genius with no account needed. Deposits range from $5 to $25 per service, and many new-client bookings require $20. Texting is preferred over calling. Payment is accepted by Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay and cash. The studio does not offer wax passes, memberships or auto-billing, and it recommends rebooking every four to six weeks. The studio welcomes all bodies and all genders. According to the studio, many clients have been coming back for years, rebooking every few weeks.

Facials are customized to what each client's skin needs that day. Waxing removes hair from the root, and with regular appointments regrowth tends to become finer and sparser.
