Skin Care Fort Worth is a non-surgical aesthetics practice run by Peter J. Damico, MD, who opened the practice in 2005. The office describes itself as a doctor's office rather than a med spa or skin clinic, and it has private exam rooms in a private office building in the Camp Bowie District. The facility was recently updated. The practice serves clients from Dallas-Fort Worth and from other parts of the country.

A visit begins with a complimentary consultation, which is free of pressure to book. The doctor examines the face and skin, discusses goals, and gives an estimated cost. He may decline a treatment if he judges the risk too high. Certain treatments, including under-eye filler, InstaLift threads and the non-surgical nose job, require a 15-minute consultation-only appointment first, and a nose job consultation and treatment cannot happen on the same day. Registration and consent forms are completed in person. Botox takes 15 minutes or less, a topical numbing cream is available, and results typically appear within three to seven days. Most patients return every three to six months.

The menu includes Botox and Botox Cosmetic, Xeomin, and fillers from the Juvederm family, along with Voluma, Volbella, Vollure, Radiesse and Belotero Balance for under-eye treatment. Botox is $13 per unit, and the average treatment for the three FDA-approved areas is about $650. Juvederm syringes are $650 to $800 depending on the product, and Radiesse for the face starts at $750. A non-surgical nose job costs $995 and uses hyaluronic acid filler in place of surgery, and liquid facelift plans average $2,000 to $6,000 after consultation. Silhouette InstaLift threads start at $2,800, chemical peels from SkinMedica and Jan Marini start at $125, Fotona laser treatments start at $200, and SkinPen microneedling is $650 per treatment. A saline trial costs $150 and is credited toward the full treatment if booked. Surgical rhinoplasty is not performed here; the practice refers patients to a plastic surgeon when a filler nose job is not suitable. Payment is by major credit card or cash, with HSA and FSA cards accepted at the card holder's own risk. CareCredit, personal checks and payment plans are not offered. Cosmetic treatments are not covered by insurance, and the office does not file claims for them. The practice does not treat acne, which it considers a medical condition, although acne scars may be addressed. It does not remove skin growths or perform full-body skin checks.
