Timea Tokes started her career in Hungary before moving to California. After years of working in the industry, she was selected about ten years ago to represent Eminence Organic Skin Care in Southern California, where she taught the Hungarian approach to skin care and Hungarian massage and worked with spa owners, managers and estheticians at resorts and day spas. She later opened Skin by Timea as her own private studio.

The menu is built around facials and peels. The Signature Facial is 90 minutes and includes cleansing, exfoliation, therapeutic massage, steam, extraction as needed, a personalized mask, moisturizer and recommendations for home care. Three acne facial levels, from 65 to 80 minutes, are designed for teens and young adults. A 60-minute Pampering Facial uses organic products and adds face, neck and shoulder massage. The Bio-Ultimate Firming Facial is a 75-minute microcurrent treatment for fine lines and firmness, available per session or in packages of 3, 6 or 10. The studio says it was featured on Oprah in a segment about the treatment. FSD Microphototherapy is a non-invasive skin tightening treatment using light and heat, and the studio says it uses the same technology dermatologists use. Decollate can be added to it. Peels run about 30 minutes, and waxing uses warm wax followed by soothing products intended to slow regrowth.

Clients book by phone at 949-228-0091. The studio is open Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed Sunday through Tuesday. First-time clients are asked to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early, and returning clients 3 to 5 minutes early. Late arrivals receive a shortened treatment so the next appointment can start on time, and the full fee still applies. Appointments should be cancelled at least 48 hours ahead; otherwise a $50 late cancellation fee applies. Children should not come to appointments. The studio also states it was voted a top-five beauty business in Laguna Hills in BusinessRate's 2026 ranking.

Each client receives a personalized treatment plan, and the studio teaches clients how to continue their skin care at home. The owner's background combines Hungarian methods with organic and corrective skin care.
