Skeleton Key Haircuts is a solo suite rather than a storefront shop, located in suite 9 at 212 NE Main Street in Simpsonville. The owner, Melissa Skelton, works as both stylist and barber.

The menu is grouped by age and service type. Student cuts cover ages 7 to 18, senior and military cuts cover ages 60 and over (including police, veterans, EMS and EMT), and men's cuts cover ages 19 to 60. Girls' trims, short to mid-length cuts for women, pixie cuts for existing pixies and a big chop that takes long hair to a pixie are also offered. Beard detail is available as a standalone visit.

Facial and shampoo options include a unisex steamed facial, which uses a pulsating silicone scrubber and a charcoal sheet mask, and a basic facial paired with a massaging shampoo. Waxing covers ear hair, nose, uni-brow, brows, and ear and nose together.

Yearly memberships are available for men (12 haircuts without beards for $315, saving $45) and for boys and students (12 student cuts without shampoos for $300, saving $36). Appointment changes need at least 48 hours' notice, late cancellations carry a 30% fee, and no-shows are invoiced 30% to 100% of the service total depending on the booking. A deposit is required for chemical services. Sales are final, and services are recorded for safety and documentation. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Children under 7 are not accepted and must sit still during services.
