Simply Styled Hair was launched in 2025 by its owner, Maja Mylander, as a private suite. The business is one of several independent professionals who each run their own suite inside a shared beauty collective, and the building has parking in front and to the side.

Haircuts are personalized to each client. The stylist works closely with the client on a look that suits their features and style, and the salon says it wants each visit to leave clients feeling seen, heard and confident. Each look is designed as a custom piece meant to suit the individual while keeping the hair healthy.

Color is a major part of the menu, covering highlights, lowlights, balayage, ombré or color melt, gloss, toner refresh, root touch-ups, peekaboo colors and a creative color package for vivid looks. Pricing is based mainly on how much product a service uses rather than hair length alone, and it can shift with texture, density, length and condition. A full highlight base includes up to two bowls of lightener, with each extra bowl charged at $35. Exact quotes can be requested by text or Instagram message with recent photos. Inspiration photos, up to five, can be uploaded when booking and brought to the appointment.

Booking is done online through the Book Online tab, and the salon recommends booking at least a week ahead, especially for evenings, weekends and longer services. Online booking closes within 24 hours of the desired time. Walk-ins are generally not accepted; same-day requests go through text and depend on availability. Changes need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations may carry a fee. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may be treated as a late cancellation or no-show, and no-shows may be charged a fee and asked to prepay future visits. Cash and card are accepted, and the salon has a no-refund policy with exceptions considered case by case.

Children are not permitted at appointments under standard policy, though exceptions can be arranged with notice and must be closely supervised by a parent or guardian. Guests may join if the salon is told at booking; large groups are not allowed. Clients with allergies or sensitivities should note them in their account and booking notes and mention them again on arrival. Refreshments are available, and food can be ordered to the salon during longer appointments.

Each look is designed around the individual, with the aim of suiting them while keeping the hair healthy.
