Simply Smooth Scottsdale Fridays

Simply Smooth is a private esthetics studio run by Marlee, an esthetician who specializes in Brazilian waxing and corrective skincare. The main studio is in Glendale, and Scottsdale services are offered on select Fridays at a second location on East Shea Boulevard.

The facial menu includes customized facials and a HydraFacial, which is a customizable treatment that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts impurities and replenishes hydration. HydraFacial uses suction rather than manual squeezing for pore extractions. The HydraFacial is listed at $189, which the site describes as a $275 value. A New Client Consult + Treatment runs 75 minutes and costs $155. Chemical peels and SkinPen microneedling make up the corrective skincare menu, and waxing combinations are offered alongside Brazilian waxing.

Marlee's Edit is a curated online shop of professional skincare and sun care, with brands including Epicutis, Colorescience, Face Reality, GlyMed+, Pavise and Mixi. Nationwide U.S. shipping is a flat $9 on orders under $250 and complimentary at $250 or more. Studio pickup is by appointment only, scheduled by text, and order, shipping, product and pickup questions are also handled by text.

Appointments are booked online, and the website offers a membership sign-up as well. HydraFacial dates are limited to the ones shown on the booking calendar. Rescheduling is handled through the booking confirmation or by contacting the studio, and the cancellation policy is shown at booking. The studio also publishes a blog called The Skin Edit.

Education comes first, with virtual consultations focused on skincare guidance rather than medical diagnosis, and facials and treatments are customized to each client.
