Simone's Styles

Simone Little started the business in 2010 to turn her passion for natural hair into a livelihood. It began as a mobile service, with Simone traveling to clients' homes to style their hair. The salon describes itself as a pioneer in the natural care industry, having specialized in natural hair before it became mainstream. Today it is a family-owned, home-based salon, with Simone and her co-owner Rebekah Little at the center of the work.

The salon's mission is to encourage Black women to embrace their natural hair and keep it healthy. It values knowledge, natural beauty, and the confidence to wear natural hair. Education is part of every visit: stylists talk clients through their hair during the appointment. The salon takes a gentle approach to braiding, avoiding pulling, tugging, and tight braids that can damage the edges. It serves professional Black women and their children.

Appointments begin at the time booked, and clients are not kept waiting in the salon. A 15% deposit is required for every appointment and is non-refundable. Cancellations need at least two business days' notice by phone, email, or text, and arrivals more than 15 minutes late may lose their appointment and deposit. Gratuity is not included in service prices, and a 15% to 20% tip is customary. The salon is open Thursday through Sunday and closed Monday through Wednesday. Clients may bring their own products for styling. Children are welcome when they are being serviced or are well behaved while accompanying a parent, but the salon does not provide child care.
