Visits usually start with a conversation. Consultations can be booked by email or in person before choosing a stylist, and a haircut includes an in-depth talk about hair history, routine and goals, followed by a blow out. Silent haircuts include a full consultation without small talk, and new clients can book extra time to get to know their stylist. Color services include a gloss, and blonde services add a bond-building treatment. Color does not include a finish, so a haircut or blow out is booked separately. Hours are by appointment: Wednesday 10am to 8pm, Thursday and Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm, and closed Sunday through Tuesday. Online booking is encouraged, a credit card is required to reserve, and cancellations need at least 48 hours notice.

Extensions are a focus of the studio. Hand-tied extensions start at $550 and use 100% Halo Pro human hair. The first appointment covers installation, cutting, color blending, styling and an at-home maintenance kit. An in-person consultation and a signed extension consultation form are required before booking. Clients pay for the amount of hair they want at booking, and the remaining balance is due at the appointment.

Scalp and restorative services can be booked on their own or added to other services. Scalp Spa starts at $63 and begins with a consultation and scalp analysis, followed by a customized treatment with scalp massage. The salon says the treatment can target thinning or loss, dandruff, build-up, oily or dry scalp and sensitive skin. The Beautiful Things Restructuring Treatment is a $40 add-on designed to restore and protect hair and to detoxify metal and mineral build-up, and the salon states it preserves hair color twice as long. The Custom Tailored Hair Treatment is $30, and the stylist chooses from more than 24 combinations for volume, moisture, shine and strength.

The salon is a Davines Concept Salon and uses Davines color, shampoo and styling lines, along with select Innersense Organic Beauty products. The salon states that Davines has been B Corp certified since 2016 and that the salon itself is a certified carbon-neutral business. It partners with Green Circle Salons to recycle 95% of its beauty waste, including aerosol cans, gloves, foils, excess color and hair clippings.

According to the salon, its approach centres on clean products, polished service and an understated sense of luxury.
