Shine The Hair Studio

Shine The Hair Studio opened in 2009 at 2063 Mountain Boulevard, Suite 7, in Montclair Village. Clients reach it by the stairs between a Starbucks and an Edward Jones. The studio is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. The salon aims to be fun and creative while keeping an eye on beauty and fashion.

The menu covers women's, men's and teens' haircuts, which include a consultation, shampoo, cut, blow dry and style. Styling is offered for special days, events or any look a client wants. Color ranges from root touch-ups to semi, demi and permanent color, plus highlights and lowlights. Bridal clients can book a consultation and planning session before the wedding, with styling and make-up on the day. Make-up for special occasions is also available.

Smoothing treatments use Coppola Keratin Complex to leave hair soft and less prone to frizz. The salon says it uses only products meant to help clients look and feel their best, and that its stylists keep up with current cuts, styles and treatments.

Booking sends a confirmation email. The salon asks for 24 hours' notice to cancel. Appointments missed or canceled inside that window are charged 50 percent of the appointment fee. Late appointments may sometimes be possible, so clients should contact their stylist directly to check.
