It became Shear Perfections/High Desert Haircutters in 1992, opened a Palmdale location inside the Rancho Village Retirement Community in 2007, and closed the Lancaster location in 2008 to concentrate on Palmdale. Walk-ins are welcome, though appointments are recommended. The salon is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Saturday visits are arranged by phone, and the salon is closed on Sundays and holidays. Phone bookings go to 661-942-1010. Services are grouped into haircuts and styling, coloring and treatments, nails, waxing, specialty services and special events. Women's, men's and kids' haircuts are offered, along with wig fitting and styling. Color work includes full color, partial and full highlights or lowlights, root touch-ups, money pieces and balayage. A cut alone is listed at $35 and a kids' haircut at $25. Full color for one shade is listed at $95, partial highlights or lowlights at $70, and full highlights or lowlights at $120 depending on length. Balayage starts at $120 and root retouches at $85. Pricing for bridesmaids parties, weddings and quinceañeras is given at consultation.
