Shear Colour is owned by Kimberly, who worked behind the chair for five years before opening the salon. The salon describes itself as a close-knit team of friendly, talented stylists focused on client service, and the space itself is meant to feel relaxed and at home.

About

The color menu runs from root touch-ups and glazes to double process, color melt and color correction. Highlight work ranges from lowlights and face-frame highlights through quarter, partial and full highlights, foilayage and full blonding. Haircuts and styling cover women's, men's and children's cuts for ages 7 and under, blowouts with or without iron work, curly finish styling and two Rezo curl services.

Treatments include full keratin and Keratin Express smoothing, perms, metal detox, Biolage deep treatment and a color mask. Hair extensions are planned after a consultation and can add length, volume or color without a long-term commitment; the salon is certified in Hairtalk and Bellami extensions. Brow lamination includes tint and wax, waxing is offered for most areas of the face and underarms, and Molly offers classic, hybrid and volume eyelash extensions. Bridal trials, bridal party hair and makeup, and bridal hair and makeup are available, and bridal packages are arranged by email.

Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments can be booked online through Phorest. The salon is open Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Appointments are confirmed by text or email 48 hours ahead. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice; a cancellation fee may apply at the next visit, and a credit card is kept on file for that purpose. Clients who are unhappy with a service can contact the salon within 72 hours for a complimentary re-do, though changes from the agreed style or color do not qualify. Refunds are not given.
