The salon calls itself a teaching salon and is always looking to add new talent. Stylists work on a level system in which time demand shapes both pricing and level, and complimentary consultations are offered to help determine pricing. The associate program is hands-on, covering technical skills, guest handling and business building, and associates work with one dedicated service provider while moving up through performance-based levels with an hourly raise at each step. Stylists also receive education benefits, in-house education, mentoring and coaching, strategic marketing, and service and retail commission. The stated values are honesty, integrity, trust, friendship, growth and mentoring.

Bridal hair and makeup is a major part of the salon. It offers on-site hair and makeup for weddings, television, fashion shows and print work in the Chicago area, and the salon describes itself as a pioneer in on-site bridal services. Bridal hair and makeup covers the whole wedding party, from the bride to the flower girl. On-site work needs a minimum of five people per artist and must be within a 25-mile radius of the salon. The bride's wedding day hair starts at $129 and her wedding day makeup starts at $112. Parking fees are extra and are charged on the day of service, and full payment is due 14 days before the wedding.

Hair extensions are offered in clip-in, I-tip, K-tip, sew-in and tape-in styles, using Bellami and So Cap brands. Every extension service begins with a consultation with an extensions-certified stylist, who gives a price estimate; that consultation is $25, and removal is $113. The salon also donates hair to its partner, Wigs For Kids.

Prices are starting prices and vary by stylist, based on experience and the time a service needs. Hair length and condition can also change the price, so some services are confirmed at a consultation. A credit card is required to book but is not charged unless the appointment is cancelled within 24 hours. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice; a later cancellation or change is charged 50% of the booked services. No refunds are given for cancelled or missed appointments. If a client is unhappy with a service, the salon offers a redo at no charge, scheduled within two weeks with the same stylist unless that stylist is unavailable or the client feels the stylist cannot provide the service. A cash or check tip of 15 to 20 percent is customary for excellent service. The salon is smoke-free, offers gift certificates, and states that each service is guaranteed. Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 8:30AM to 9PM, Wednesday 10AM to 9PM, Friday 8:30AM to 7PM and Saturday 8AM to 4PM; the salon is closed Sunday and Monday.
