Set-Apart Strands operates from a suite on the Katy Freeway in Houston. The Set-Apart Hair Care line was founded by Nikki Hussle around the idea that haircare should feel purposeful and restorative instead of confusing or overwhelming. The products are made to nourish the hair and scalp in a natural way and are designed to be suitable for both natural and chemically treated hair.

Braiding is done by Kaci, who focuses on healthy hair and on protective styles that last while caring for the natural hair underneath. Each braid service includes a spa-style shampoo and deep conditioning, and the braiding hair is included. The work is described as neat and not too tight, with little braiding gel used.

Booking details are straightforward: the business is open Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 7 pm and Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, and is closed on weekends. Bookings made between Friday sunset and Saturday sunset are not accepted or charged a deposit until after Saturday sunset. Afterpay is accepted, all sales are final, and the business does not service children under 8 for safety reasons.
