Scottsdale Plastic Surgery, LLC is a Scottsdale practice limited to cosmetic plastic surgery, owned and run by plastic surgeon James M. Nachbar, MD. The practice does not accept insurance for cosmetic procedures, so costs are paid by the patient, with financing available through CareCredit and Alphaeon Credit.

Visits start with a complimentary initial consultation, which can be booked by phone without a credit card. Online appointments require a card authorization that is charged $50 only if the patient does not show up. Appointments can be cancelled online or by phone at least 24 hours ahead at no charge. The office has a reception area rather than a waiting room, and consultation rooms are furnished like a living area, with closets for belongings and a door designed to keep privacy when partly open. Virtual consultations are also offered.

Minor procedures such as earlobe repair, scar revision, lesion removal and some in-office treatments are done under local anesthesia in the office. Major surgery is performed under general anesthesia with a physician anesthesiologist, at HonorHealth or another accredited, certified surgery center. Payment is due at the pre-operative visit or two weeks before surgery, whichever comes first. A $500 scheduling deposit is applied to the surgical fee and is refundable with at least 14 days' notice. Facility and anesthesiologist fees are collected in advance and may differ from final charges, and no extra fee is added if surgery runs long.

The practice shares ballpark prices that are estimates only and not guaranteed until a personalized quote at the complimentary consultation. These include the surgeon's fee, pre- and post-surgery visits, implants or garments and supplies, and physician anesthesia; facility fees vary by facility. Examples given include breast augmentation at $7,700 with saline or $8,900 with silicone, a no-drain tummy tuck at $13,000, liposuction between $5,800 and $10,995 depending on areas treated, and a facelift including the neck at $16,600.

Beyond surgery, the office offers injectables such as BOTOX at $11 per unit, HA facial filler, RADIESSE and Dysport, along with ThermiVa, laser skin resurfacing, tattoo excision and the Jan Marini Skin Care Management System, which is sold in a box with a set for normal or combination skin and one for dry or very dry skin. Jan Marini products can also be ordered online through the practice's link with free two-day shipping.

The practice describes its approach as meticulous, natural-looking results delivered in a hands-on, personal way, with the surgeon handling the consultation and each visit himself.
