About

Scenic Dermatology opened in 2024 as an independent, family-owned practice in Chaska. It serves patients from Chaska and nearby southwest Twin Cities communities, including Victoria, Carver, and Shakopee. The practice is physician-led and says it brings medical, surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology together under one roof.

The practice aims to make dermatology care personal, easy to understand, and practical. When it weighs a treatment, it considers how well it is likely to work, safety, cost, convenience, and what matters most to the patient. It says its guiding principle is to offer the care its team would want for their own loved ones, and it describes its goal as a shared decision the patient understands, not a promise of any particular result. Published patient testimonials describe Dr. Miller as thorough, competent, and professional.

A visit typically includes a review of history, an examination, and a discussion of options. The plan that follows may involve monitoring, a biopsy, treatment, removal, follow-up, or a referral. Minor in-office procedures may include biopsies, cryotherapy, injections, shave removal, excision, and drainage. Telemedicine may be offered when clinically appropriate, though an in-person visit may be recommended when an exam or procedure is needed.

The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Changed or holiday hours appear in the contact details. Free parking is available, along with a covered portico for drop-off and elevator access to the second floor. The practice is currently taking new patients. Online appointment requests are not final until the office confirms them. Same-day treatment or procedures cannot be guaranteed, and some procedures or tests may need to be booked separately. Changes or cancellations to appointments require at least 24 hours' notice. A no-show fee of $50 applies to regular appointments and $200 to surgery or cosmetic appointments. Payment is due at the time of service, and checks are not accepted.

Whether insurance covers a visit, whether a referral is needed, and whether prior authorization is required depend on the patient's plan, diagnosis and service, so patients should check their benefits with their insurer. Cosmetic and self-pay services are usually not covered by insurance and must be paid in full at the time of service, unless other arrangements are made beforehand. For medical or patient-specific questions, patients should call the office rather than sending symptoms, photos or test results by email or through website forms. Email and text should not be used in an emergency. The Patient Portal cannot be used to communicate with the doctor.

Visits begin with a full look at the concern, followed by plain explanations of each option and its tradeoffs, so that the patient can take part in deciding on a practical next step.
