Satin Roots

Satin Roots started in August 2020 as a custom wig service. In 2022 it moved into an on-site salon at Treazure Studios, where it now offers silk presses, natural hair care, extension installs and color for extensions. The brand describes itself as a distinguished beauty brand, and its stated mission is to deliver full satisfaction with every service, backed by customer care.

New clients start with a New Client Consultation, a personalized session to review hair needs, goals and hair health before any booking. The consultation is charged separately and is not applied to the service price. Extension services are the exception, so first-time extension clients can book without one. Clients who have not been seen in 12 months need to book a consultation again, and after a first extension service a consultation is required before the next visit.

Booking details matter here. A non-refundable deposit secures an appointment and goes toward the service price. Appointments need to be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours ahead, or the full price is charged. Each appointment allows one reschedule, requested 48 hours in advance. Arriving 10 or more minutes late brings a $25 late fee, and appointments are cancelled after 15 minutes. Hair for sew-ins must be ordered at least two weeks ahead. Payment is by card or Tap to Pay, with any remaining balance settled at the salon.

Opening times run Wednesday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, Saturday from 8am to 4pm, and Sunday from 8am to 3pm, Central time. The salon is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Booking outside the posted availability carries a $50 squeeze-in fee, and after-hours appointments are charged on a sliding scale that depends on the day and the time. Clients who arrive with hair already detangled and not in braided or twisted styles avoid a detangling charge. Eating is permitted in the salon, though strongly scented foods such as seafood and fish are not. Daily appointment openings are shared on Instagram. The salon also publishes at-home care guidance covering silk press styling, natural curls, color-treated hair, and extensions.

The focus is on keeping hair healthy as well as finished, with every service built around an assessment of each client's hair and scalp.
