San Diego Lashes began in 2011, when owner and founder Jamie Justo worked from a single chair in a tattoo parlor in El Cajon. The business moved into a suite of its own in 2013. The Bay Park studio became the flagship in 2017, and the La Jolla studio opened in 2024 as a collective of independent practitioners who rent suites and book their own services there.

Every artist trains in-house at Bay Park and meets internal certifications before working with paying clients. Artists are priced by tier (Junior, Senior and Owner), and the business says the difference reflects experience and booking demand rather than the quality of the work. Every artist is described as a licensed esthetician or cosmetologist.

A first eyelash extension appointment, including the consultation, mapping and application, takes about two to three hours. Each design is mapped to the client's eye shape and natural lash line, and fills are recommended every two to three weeks. Fills are priced by the style of the existing set rather than by who applied it. A $15 allergy test patch is credited toward a full set.

Beyond lashes, the studios offer lash lifts using BOOST plant-protein chemistry, brow lamination, and brow shaping by wax, tweeze or thread. Bay Park has the full waxing menu, including sugaring. Permanent makeup covers microblading, powder and combo brows, lip blush and eyeliner tattoo, with a free consultation before every booking and certified PMU artists working in a sterile suite. Facials run from a 60-minute customized treatment to a 90-minute Luxury Facial, and microchanneling is offered for anti-aging, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, hair restoration and stretch marks.

The business runs a giving back program called Lash Out at Cancer and says it donates to community partnerships and causes.
