The business began renting salon suites in 1996 and is run by a family. Today it has three locations and more than 160 beauty professionals working from their own suites. The Highland Village site is branded Salons on 407, while the Rockwall and Sunnyvale sites use the Salons Elite name.

Each professional rents a private, individual suite and runs their own business, setting their own prices, hours and appointments. Clients book directly with the stylist they choose, so each visit is one-on-one in a private room rather than a shared floor. Service menus vary by location. Highland Village lists chemical peels, dermaplaning, microblading, laser services, injectables, vitamin drips and weight loss. Rockwall lists barbering, chemical peels, injectables, IV hydration and vitamins, laser services, micro needling and weight loss. Sunnyvale lists barbering, ethnic hair care, braids and locks, relaxers, makeup, nail services, skin care and waxing. Brazilian Blowout is offered at Rockwall and Sunnyvale.

Rather than running one staff team, the business rents out private suites to independent professionals who manage their own pricing, schedules and client bookings.
