Salon Zen is a multicultural hair salon that works with all hair textures. It has two locations: one inside Becoming Salon & Spa on Nations Ford Road, and one on Winds Crossing Drive. Both are in Charlotte, and the salon describes its service as premier and designed to meet demanding standards.

Bridal hair and make-up is the salon's specialty. Packages are available for a bride with a flower girl or with three to seven bridesmaids, and they can be customized. Prices are starting points that move with hair length and density. Bridal clients are asked to book a consultation two to three months before the wedding, pay a 30 percent deposit to hold the date, and complete a bridal services contract at that first meeting. Travel to a wedding is $150 within 30 miles and $180 for 31 to 60 miles; longer distances are quoted separately. Couples who book hair and make-up with the salon's preferred photographer and cinematographer, Captured N Style, receive a discounted rate.

Clients can book online through the salon website or its booking platform, and a credit or debit card is required to hold any appointment. Arriving five to ten minutes early is requested, and there is a short grace period after that. Cancellations made within 48 hours are charged $50, and a no-call, no-show is charged the full scheduled service. Children stay out of the salon unless they are being serviced.

The salon is not responsible for hair damage from chemical or color services, so clients are encouraged to talk through their hair with their stylist before any service. Gift cards are sold through the booking platform, and at-home maintenance products are available between visits.

Each service is a starting point that the stylist adjusts to the client's hair length, density and texture, with a consultation before color, weave and wig work.

Soothing music plays in the salon, and clients can enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages, with free WiFi and ample free parking.
