MarieAsh is a natural hair salon in Charlotte. Ashley Hall founded it and works there as owner and stylist. The salon says its aim is to protect the integrity of natural hair while bringing out each client's personal style, and it describes its stylists as top-trained, with many on track toward certification and some more skilled than those already certified. Loc services are the core of the business. A Microlock visit begins with a consultation, then a custom parting system and installation, and extensions can be blended with the client's own hair. Maintenance covers regular retightening and minor repairs, and the first Microlocks retightening is not part of the package and is paid in full. Sisterlocks installation requires a consultation and at least 3 inches of hair. Packages include test locs, a starter kit and a first retightening, which must be booked within 4 to 5 weeks of installation or it is forfeited. Sisterlocks is a trademarked style that only certified consultants offer.

Natural hair services cover silk pressing with heat protection and styling, braids and protective styles such as cornrows and feed-in braids, two-strand twists and twist outs, deep conditioning, steam and scalp therapy treatments, and trims. Clients who wear Sisterlocks or Microlocks can take a 2 to 2.5 hour hands-on class to learn to retighten their own locs. Eligibility requires well-maintained hair with no major damage, repair issues, extensions or other problems. The salon advises minimizing shampoos during the settling-in period and braiding and banding the hair when washing locs.

A lash and brow studio offers classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume lash extensions, along with brow waxing, shaping, tinting and lamination. Brow combos pair these services. The salon also offers a Future Stylists Camp, listed at $280.

New clients pay a deposit of 50% of the estimated first service cost when booking. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, but can be credited to future appointments within six months. Arrivals have a 15-minute grace period; after that the appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled. Late arrivals are charged the full service fee plus a $35 late fee if the service goes ahead, and tardiness reschedules are charged half the booked fee. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 48 hours' notice to avoid a fee. Missed appointments without notice carry a fee of half the service fee, and no-shows are charged the full fee and must pay before booking again. All sales of services, deposits and gift cards are final.
