Salon-Suites of Plano

Salon-Suites of Plano is a newer facility in a stand-alone building at the northwest corner of Spring Creek Parkway and Custer Road, next to a CVS. It has 28 studios, from single rooms to larger suites, with private studios for one to four people. Studios are fully furnished, some are oversized, and the smallest are about 90 square feet. The business describes its studios as affordable luxury salon studios, with rents starting at $170 a week. Terms run from day and half-day rentals to short-term and long-term leases, and the business offers referral bonuses to leaseholders.

Three studios serve as a walk-in haircut area open to the public, and the business describes itself as Plano's only walk-in haircut service. Walk-in haircuts generally need no appointment and usually involve little or no wait. Walk-in hours are Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm, Saturday 11am to 4pm and Sunday 1pm to 4pm. Stylists can rent a chair in the walk-in salon, which carries a one-year minimum lease. Walk-in stylists receive a percentage of collected fees plus all collected tips, may work part-time weekday hours, and get a chair with a waiting room, stylist furniture, basic equipment and supplies. Free advertising and use of Vagaro salon software are included. Walk-in stylists typically work in the walk-in area for one to three months before moving into their own studio. Applicants need a state license, proof of clientele and experience, and must be local residents. The business is currently looking for barbers.
