Salon Re

Salon Re is on Fulton Street East in Grand Rapids, in the Uptown area roughly a mile from downtown, where shops and dining are nearby. The salon opened in 2009. It describes itself as the first Grand Rapids salon to combine high-end style with eco-conscious service, and it carries a selection of natural and health-conscious hair care products.

The team of sixteen professionals focuses on hair color, extensions, styling and cutting. Joy Anderson owns the salon and also works as a stylist, specializing in custom color and long hair.

Bridal services include bridal hair, bridesmaid hair, flower girl styles under bridal party pricing and bridal trials. Trial appointments are required and should be booked at least one month before the wedding. Reservations take a credit card number as a deposit. Wedding cancellations need two weeks' notice for parties of five or fewer and one month's notice for parties of five or more. The salon provides coffee, juice and pastries for the bridal party, and photographers, videographers and others the couple chooses may attend bridal preparations. Traveling services are offered in some areas with an up-charge and a travel fee; the salon manager can confirm availability.

Regular services need 24 hours' notice to cancel. Cancelled or missed appointments without that notice, and no-shows, carry a 50 percent service charge, and a credit card may be kept on file for future bookings. Prices are subject to change and should be confirmed with the stylist. Parking is on Congress Ave, which can be limited, so street parking is suggested when those spaces are full.
