Salon One 12

Salon One 12 began at 112 Main Street in Buda and later moved to its current suite at 302 South Main Street. The owner, Rebecca Acosta-Ojeda, is listed as founder, owner, CEO and stylist.

The team works around four core values the salon calls GLAM: Growth, Luxury, Authenticity and Mentorship. Growth means ongoing learning for team members and staff, Authenticity encourages each person to be true to themselves and express their own style, and Mentorship means lifting one another up with chances to learn. The salon says its staff are highly trained and that it puts emphasis on continuing education and current industry trends.

Stylists advance through a level system based on demand for their time and their demonstrated mastery, so guests can choose a stylist by level, and pricing and expertise vary by level. Prices also depend on hair length, thickness and the amount of color needed, and they vary by stylist. A complimentary in-person or virtual consultation is offered for detailed pricing.

Appointments can be booked online or through the schedule app, and a credit card on file is required to hold a reservation. Payment is due on the day of service. Services are guaranteed for one week, with a free re-do with the original stylist within that window. A small Eco Fee of $3.05 applies, which guests can ask the front desk to remove at checkout.

Guests have a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals, and those more than 20 minutes late may be asked to reschedule. Young children are welcome with a reservation, but pets are not permitted. Retail products are final sale, gift cards are sold in store or online, and the salon accepts major credit cards, personal checks with a valid driver's license or ID, and cash. The salon is a Green Circle Certified Salon and diverts hair, leftover color, foils, color tubes, aerosol cans, paper and plastics from waste.
