Salon Next Door

Salon Next Door started as a one-chair home studio run by Ashley after she left a full-time job. Within 18 months it had more than 350 clients, and in 2006 it moved to a larger space in Holly Springs, Georgia.

Each stylist has a personal profile with a direct business phone line, so clients can choose their professional and book with them directly, online or by phone. Appointments are required, and the salon opens at 10 am. Walk-ins are accommodated when the schedule allows, so calling ahead to check availability is a good idea.

The salon's services fall into four groups: custom cuts, hair coloring, special events hair services for bridal parties, and massage therapy. Massage pricing on the Serenergy Healing booking page lists Swedish massage at $65 for 70 minutes and deep tissue massage from $75 for 70 minutes or longer, and a Reiki add-on is also offered.

The salon partnered with Aveda and sells Aveda products on site. Aveda states that all of its products are 100% vegan. For in-person bookings, Buy Now, Pay Later financing is available for amounts from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment.

Clients choose their stylist directly, with each professional listed on a personal profile and phone line, and the salon's stylists aim for looks that are easy to maintain at home.

The interior is designed to feel like a home, echoing the original one-chair studio.
