A visit starts with a consultation covering lifestyle, personality, body type, skin tone, face shape and how much upkeep a client wants. The stylist weighs both what the client asks for and what their hair needs, and explains why a particular cut and color suits them and why other options may not be right. The space is on two stories, with open room for cutting and coloring.

Continuing education is part of the work here. In-house sessions have covered consultations, balayage and color placement using Scruples Self Tour, formal event styling, interior cutting and social media training. The salon also runs Power Classes, including a 6-session cutting course and an 8-week coloring course.

Prices depend on the service and on which stylist a client requests, and cut prices can shift with hair length and density. Women's cuts start at 25 dollars, men's at 20, children's cuts for ages 5 to 13 at 15, and shampoo and blow-dry at 20. Specialty services such as perms, smoothing, straightening, clip-ins and extensions begin with a free consultation and price quote, and off-site bridal parties are priced by quote on request. Appointments are requested through the website and confirmed by email; clients who get no confirmation are asked to call, and phone messages are returned by the next business day.
