Salon Lustre

Salon Lustre has been operating in Senoia since 1993 and is located on the lower level of 48 Main Street in the downtown historic district. The salon describes itself as a private luxury salon with a tailored approach to hair.

The owner holds the title of master hair designer. Their training was under stylists and colorists who work with famous clients, in West Hollywood, Atlanta and New York. Their route into styling started with time spent working alongside hairdressers in the print and music industries.

The color menu is the salon's core. Balayage is hand-painted freehand onto sections and wrapped in cellophane rather than foil, producing a casual, sun-kissed result with softer, wider highlights than traditional foil work. The salon says balayage grows out well and needs little upkeep. Babylights are very fine, subtle highlights placed in tiny sections over more than an hour, designed to blend with the base color; a full head is typically refreshed every eight weeks, with sporadic babylights every 12 to 14 weeks. They can be done on any hair color or type, in shades chosen to suit skin tone.

Color correction addresses uneven color and hair that has become too light, too dark, too warm or too cool. It often takes several appointments, and the salon recommends a consultation first to confirm the goals are realistic.
