Salon Indigo has operated in Fraser for more than 30 years and marked its 33rd year there. It has been partnered with Aveda for over thirty years, and the salon aims to feel warm and welcoming to its clients.

Services are offered a la carte, so clients can book individual treatments rather than packages. Haircut and blow-dry are charged extra when booked with a color service, and haircut and hair treatment prices depend on hair length and thickness. Women's hair shaping starts at $50, men's at $26 and children's at $20, and each shaping includes a consultation, scalp massage, therapeutic shampoo, cut and blow-dry.

A hair visit opens with a scalp massage using Aveda composition oils before shampooing. Facials begin with a skin consultation and skin analysis. Manicures and pedicures include a hand or foot massage with Aveda essential oils and hydrating products, and pedicure clients are asked to bring sandals. Most services are booked by appointment, by phone or through an online request form, and clients can reserve their next visit before leaving to get a preferred time with a specific stylist.

The salon says its team is experienced, attentive to each client and keeps up with trends and techniques, and its stylists regularly attend advanced education. Some services require a 50% deposit at booking; deposits are refunded for cancellations made 24 hours or more ahead, while shorter notice or a no-show forfeits the deposit. Other services ask for at least 24 hours notice, and a no-show may be charged. Product exchanges must be made within 30 days of purchase, and gift cards are available in any amount by phone or email but are non-refundable.

The salon works with Aveda products and methods throughout, using only Aveda products and describing them as 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
