Salon DeJa’Ris

Salon DeJa'Ris works out of Suite 108 inside Elite Studios and serves Lee's Summit and the wider Kansas City area. The studio is also the home of Celebrity Hair Company, which sells luxury extensions and hair care. The salon says it has more than 25 years of experience, has served thousands of women and has restored more than 100 of them. Its team is known as The Hair Mafia, and the Salon DeJa'Ris Academy offers training in extension artistry as well as in branding, marketing and selling extensions.

Seamless Sew-In is a braided sew-in with a flat, low-tension finish, secured with invisible stitching. It suits women with enough natural hair to braid a foundation, and finishes include a natural leave-out, a closure or a frontal. Microlinks are beaded-row extensions: small beads are set along natural hair and wefts are sewn on, with no braids or glue. They can be done in beaded rows or a beaded base, with or without fine mesh, and they need scheduled move-ups as natural hair grows. Custom wigs and non-surgical systems address thinning at the crown, a widening part, bald spots and hair loss. These services provide cosmetic coverage and do not diagnose or treat hair loss. Hair Wellness is a spa-inspired reset for scalp and strands between installs, with warm steam and deep massage. The Restore & Grow Regimen has seven steps: cleanse and detox, scalp and hair treatments, hydration and deep moisture, a seven oil blend, warm steam, scalp massage and Hair Food. Every Restore & Grow service ends with a trim and blowout. The salon also offers hair lab testing, scalp analysis and scalp treatments.

Consultations take place Monday through Friday, either in person or over video, and can be booked up to 21 days in advance. Each 60-minute session covers suggested coverage, the hair plan, the precise cost, at-home care and what maintenance will involve. The consultation fee is $125, plus a 3.85% card processing charge, and it cannot be refunded or transferred. If a service is booked for the same day, $75 of the fee is credited toward it. A complimentary 15-minute call with the team is offered before booking. A priority same-day call costs $25 if requested by 1pm, and that amount is credited if the booking is made within 7 days. All listed prices are starting points, and the final cost is set at the consultation.

Executive starts at $585 and uses the client's own salon-approved hair or hair chosen from the salon. Signature Lux starts at $1,500 and includes a custom premium hair package, and it may reach about $2,500 depending on length, density and customization. VIP Couture starts at $2,500 with custom-colored, custom-made hair and two dedicated stylists; it is invitation-only, and Mrs DJay personally performs its consultation and service. The Private Suite Experience is an add-on priced at $5,500.

Payment plans through Cherry are available for Executive, Signature Lux and VIP Couture experiences, subject to Cherry's approval and terms. After its own review, Cherry determines how much to extend, up to $50,000, using a soft credit check that leaves the credit score unaffected. Applicants must be 18 or older and hold a valid debit or credit card issued by a bank. Eligible applicants may be offered 0% APR or other promotional rates. Appointments cannot be changed online, so clients call or text the concierge line at 816-926-0444. Rescheduling is only permitted for extreme emergencies, with 72 business hours' notice, weekends excluded. A late arrival shortens the appointment rather than extending it. Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm.

The salon's stated belief is that every woman deserves to recognize herself again, and its model is to restore what has been lost, enhance what remains and reimagine what is possible. Consultations begin with three questions about how a client remembers herself, sees herself today and wants to see herself.

Transformation visits carry a spa feel, with warm scalp cleansing, massage, steam and a robe.
