Salon at Marc Stephens opened in 2015 as a companion to Roffler of Moorestown, a barber shop that John Merlino founded in 1961. His son Mark Merlino, a second-generation barber and stylist, bought the shop in 1999 and owns both businesses. Michelle Merlino oversees day-to-day salon operations.

Hair work is a core focus. The salon lists keratin treatments, Brazilian blowouts, perms and balayage as its hair specialties, and says its stylists have more than 20 years of experience with them. Balayage is hand-painted freehand for a blended result, and the salon notes clients can often go longer between appointments than with traditional color. The salon is at 213 Chester Ave, across from the Post Office. Clients book by calling the salon. Limited metered street parking is available out front, and a rear lot is reached from Plum Street. Clients are asked to give 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule and to arrive on time. Service refunds are not issued, so concerns should be raised within three days, and adjustments for service issues are free only within two weeks of the original service. Prices shown are starting prices, with additional charges possible for hair length or thickness, and some services are priced after a consultation.
