Salon 105 Studio

Salon 105 opened on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland in 2013. It was started as a calmer, more intimate alternative to the large, busy salons found across the East Bay, and the salon describes its aim as offering a one-stop place where clients can have most of their hair and beauty needs handled in one visit. The salon says its mission is to provide the highest quality service.

The setting is private and spa-like, with the sound of water features in the room. Clients can book haircuts, blow-dry styling, full color, touch-ups and highlights, plus eyebrow arching or waxing, make-up, conditioning treatments, keratin and Japanese straightening treatments, up-dos and weddings. Weddings are priced after a consultation.

Color work is organized as its own menu. Touch-ups and full color are priced by hair length for the blow-dry add-on, with a semi-permanent gloss or toner available for an added fee, and partial and full highlights are offered as separate services. Blow-dry styles can be finished with a curling iron or a flat iron.

The salon carries the Kevin.Murphy hair care line. The salon describes these products as eco-friendly, and they are sulphate-free, paraben-free and cruelty-free.
