Complements Hair Design

Complements Hair Design operates from 1414 Everett St. in downtown Alameda, a community just across a bridge from San Francisco. The salon works by appointment only, does not take walk-ins, and applies a 24-hour cancellation policy. Children under 12 are not accepted.

The hair menu covers cuts and styling, special occasion styling, color and highlights, balayage and ombre, keratin treatments, and extensions and hair pieces. The salon uses Framesi and Scruples High Definition color alongside Redken, Chi, Schwarzkopf and ChromaSilk by Pravana, and it retails Olaplex, Davines, Unite, Kenra and Keratin Complex. The salon itself describes its Framesi color as award winning and its products as among the best on the market, and says it is listed under Best of Alameda; these are the salon's own claims.

Lovely Brows & Skin, run by Michelle Churchward as a business associate inside the salon, offers eyebrow shaping, lash and brow tinting, Eminence facials, facial and body waxing, airbrush tanning and microblading.
