Saige is owned by Theresa and sits inside Phenix Salon Studios in Raleigh's Celebration Shopping Center. The salon describes itself as the premier hair extension salon in the city, and it also offers plant-based hair color alongside its extension work.

The main method is hand-tied beaded row extension, with each section secured using beads and string and laid to lie flat against the head. The salon states that the beads are placed so they stay concealed and the extensions are not noticeable, and it describes its extensions as the safest and most natural-looking currently available. Extensions are also offered as clip-ins, halos or crowns for clients who want a temporary option.

The signature Saige Extension Experience is a full appointment: custom organic color for the client's hair and the extensions, a reconstructive conditioning treatment, installation, a precision haircut, styling with hot tools, and a photoshoot. Every installation uses ethically sourced, 100% human, Remy, double-drawn hair. Pricing is a customized estimate based on a consultation form. Appointments are booked Monday through Friday, with VIP Saturday slots available, and food is provided for visits longer than five hours. Extension maintenance is recommended every four to eight weeks, depending on density, texture, lifestyle and aftercare. For most guests, hair should be longer than the chin, and the number of rows depends on how much fullness and length is wanted.

Policies to know: clients arriving 15 or more minutes late without letting the salon know are treated as no-shows and charged the full appointment amount, while up to 14 minutes late may incur a late fee. Rescheduling requires 48 hours notice, and clients may reschedule once. Unsatisfactory results must be reported by email within seven days, and product exchanges of equal or lesser value are accepted within seven days of purchase. Refunds and returns are not offered on extension hair, retainers and several other categories.

Hand-tied extensions are secured with beads and string instead of glue, tape or other adhesives, and the salon presents extensions as a way to add volume, length or fullness.

Longer appointments leave time to relax, and clients are welcome to bring a laptop.
