Rustic Roots Hair Studio is a hair studio in Elmhurst, Illinois, operated by owner and stylist Ciara McDaid. Because it works by appointment only, clients book ahead for every visit.

Ciara started cosmetology school at 17 and worked in the industry for about seven years before opening her own studio. Her color work centers on blondes and dimensional, lived-in tones, and her cut work centers on long layered styles.

A visit usually starts with a free consultation, held by phone or in person, that lasts about 15 minutes. It is a chance to talk through the current condition of the hair, the plan, and the end goal before anything is booked.

The studio is open Tuesday and Thursday from 11 AM to 8 PM and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and it is closed Sunday and Monday. A 50% fee applies to no-shows and to cancellations made within 12 hours of the appointment, and services are not refunded. Bridal and wedding styling inquiries are handled by sending a message.
