Rouge Powder Room was started in 2016 and takes its name from vintage beauty and golden age glamour. The studio's core is brow work: each client's brows are shaped to a custom design, using waxing, threading or tweezing to remove unwanted hairs.

Eyebrow appointments begin with a brow mapping step that plans the shape before any hairs are removed. Brows and lashes can be tinted with a vegetable dye that the studio describes as gentle on skin and hair. Brow tint typically lasts about two to three weeks, depending on several factors. The studio advises against using hair dye on brows and offers its eyebrow-specific tint instead.

Lash extensions are applied one extension to one natural lash, bonded individually. A full set takes roughly two to two and a half hours, and extensions typically last four to six weeks. Lash fills are offered every two to four weeks, depending on the lash cycle, for clients who still have enough of their own lashes remaining. Lash extension services are booked online only, on Sundays and Mondays, and require credit card details at booking. Other services are booked by calling or texting the studio.

Facial waxing and threading cover the lip, chin, sides and full face, with combinations available. Waxing uses a zinc-based wax that the studio describes as suitable for sensitive skin. Eyebrow tinting, lash tinting and eyebrow waxing can be combined into one visit at a reduced price.

Lash extension cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, including no-shows, are charged 50 percent of the service. Clients are asked to arrive with lashes completely clean, and to avoid caffeine and smoking on the day of an extension appointment and keep lashes dry for the first 12 hours after service.

Brows are shaped to each client's face and sculpted with waxing, threading or tweezing, and tinted with a brow-specific vegetable dye instead of hair dye.
