The menu covers hair color, foil highlights, balayage, perms, and keratin and Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatments, along with hair extensions, makeup, manicures and pedicures, waxing, skin care and permanent jewelry. Permanent jewelry is offered at the Oak Creek and Wauwatosa locations only. Color services carry a $12 service fee, and they need to be booked with a haircut or one of the complimentary styles to keep the booked service time. Service prices are based on the stylist level and may change.
Weddings are a large part of the business. The bridal menu includes trials, a Rehearsal Ready package, a Grooming the Groom package for men, and wedding day hair, makeup and nails. The salon recommends booking a bridal hair trial two to three months before the wedding. Wedding services and trials are booked through a wedding coordinator, the salon does not discount wedding services, and traveling weddings are offered.
Clients can book online. Services carry a free redo within seven days of the appointment, and retail products can be exchanged for a different product within seven days of purchase. Roots Rewards is a loyalty program with a one-time $14.95 enrollment fee, where members earn points on services, product purchases and prebooking. Half-price manicures or pedicures are offered during color processing, subject to availability. According to the salon, it has donated $44,463.92 to community causes since 2007 and has supported its community for 19 years. Its annual fundraiser, Cuts 4 A Cause, is one example, and it donates services and products to fundraiser raffles on request by email.
