The salon describes itself as one of Milwaukee's premier hair salons and as a leading salon in education in southeastern Wisconsin.

The salon focuses on education and client service, with fashion-forward hair styling. Stylists plan each client's look together, regardless of educational background or years of experience. The aim is to teach clients how to recreate their salon look at home. The salon keeps connections with educators across the country to give its stylists learning opportunities, and it brings in newly licensed cosmetologists to prepare them for working in the industry.

Services are grouped into haircuts, color, styling, waxing and additional treatments. Haircuts with shampoo and style start at $65, and a short clipper cut with shampoo and style starts at $50. A tween cut for ages 9-12 starts at $40 and does not include shampoo or style. Color ranges from demi-gloss starting at $50 to balayage with gloss starting at $250, which is hand-painted with placement chosen to suit the cut. Specialty color, color melt and corrective color need a consultation first, and prices for those are given then. Keratin smoothing is also priced at consultation. Prices and appointment length vary by stylist. Every service requires a card on file, and only select services take a deposit, which is paid in full at booking.

The salon has a vintage setting and displays work by local artists. It takes part in Bay View community events, sponsors a family each holiday season, and donates services and products to fundraisers and silent auctions. It is a member of the LGBT Chamber of Commerce and a certified Strands for Trans salon.
