Before a visit, clients are encouraged to book a consultation, which starts at $25 and takes at least 20 minutes. A consultation is required before any color service or traditional starter locs, and it is also offered for larger work such as loc extensions, insta-locs and major repairs.

Work is shared on Instagram and TikTok under @Diyqah_Does_Locs. The portfolio includes micro starter locs, palm roll maintenance, pipe cleaner curls, rod set curls, flat twists, wicks, top knot buns and Hair Sprinkles.

Policies are set out in advance. Appointments can be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the booked time, and a client who gives less notice is charged the full balance of the appointment. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final.

Locs are the core of the work, from starter locs and maintenance to repair, styling and color.
