Ritual Space is run by Angela Kim, who works as a hairstylist in Los Angeles. The studio's aim is to help guests get the most from their hair through haircuts fitted to them and simple routines they can keep up at home.

Appointments are booked through Square online and stay pending until approved, usually the same day, with confirmation sent by text or email. Guests who arrive early can wait in the seating area just outside the suite and text the studio to say they have arrived. If running late, guests should text ahead; a 10-minute grace period is offered after which the appointment is not guaranteed. Cancellations and rescheduling need at least 48 hours notice, made through the original Square confirmation text.

The first visit starts with a consultation covering the scalp, hair growth patterns, facial features, likes and dislikes, lifestyle, concerns and the current hair care routine. Guests are asked to mention any sensitivities or ingredient allergies, and can say if they would rather not have a head massage. Guests are also welcome to bring hair ideas or photos and ask to learn things like curling or diffuser use during the appointment. They are asked to arrive with clean, air-dried hair washed at least 24 hours before the visit.

Color services are reserved for return guests. No refunds are offered, but service adjustments are made at no charge, and guests who are unhappy with a service should get in touch within 7 business days. Guests who feel unwell on the day can say so and reschedule. Payment is by credit card, cash or the Apply Pay mobile option.

Parking is in the garage attached to the building, entered on Ivar between Sunset and De Longpre, at $3 for 2 hours with validation. Metered street parking is also available nearby.

Cuts for any length below the ears, with a short haircut option above the ears with a tapered finish at the sides and back. Haircuts include a wash and style.
