The building was designed by the architects Foundation For Form, and the room is minimalist and modern with some homey touches.

Visits usually begin with a one-on-one consultation, which the salon uses to learn what each client wants. Free consultations are available for anyone who needs help choosing a service. Prices depend on the stylist's experience level, with the same service costing more at each step up, and color pricing is set after consultation and can change. Clients not fully happy with a result can ask for a no-charge adjustment within 7 days of the appointment, booked with the same stylist.

The salon has a dedicated curly cut service, offered as a wash-and-go cut or with a blow dry. Curly cut clients are asked to arrive with clean, dry, detangled hair with no styling products and not tied up. The menu also includes foilayage, hand-painted balayage, traditional highlights, root touch-ups and glosses, and a set of hair treatments.

Booking requires a valid credit card, which is not charged until the appointment is complete. Cancellations need at least 48 hours' notice; shorter-notice cancellations are charged 50% of the booked appointment value. The salon may refuse service to anyone who is disrespectful to staff or clients or who makes a staff member uncomfortable.

Rinse also hosts stylist education classes and trainings, led by Ana and by visiting industry stylists. To book, call (619) 677-2078 or email Management@rinsesd.com. Hours are Monday 10am to 6pm, Tuesday through Friday 10am to 8pm, and Saturday 9am to 5pm, with the salon closed on Sundays.
