Rhett Women's Center is a full-service gynecology practice that cares for women of all ages. Care runs from annual preventive exams through managing gynecological problems, with on-site lab work and ultrasound. The practice also runs a dedicated aesthetics suite, the Aesthetics Center in Mount Pleasant, alongside its gynecology offices in Mount Pleasant and Georgetown.

The practice traces back to Edmund Rhett, MD, who started the first OB/GYN practice in Mount Pleasant after returning to the Charleston area in 1977. That group grew into what the practice describes as the area's largest practice of its kind. In 2006 he moved away from obstetrics to focus on gynecology for women of all ages, and he created the in-house surgery center, which offers minimally invasive procedures at a lower cost than hospital surgery. The business says its surgery center is the only fully accredited gynecology surgery center in the area, and the center is overseen by Michelle Chandler.

Body contouring includes CoolSculpting with dual-area treatment and EvolveX, and injectables include Botox Cosmetic and several Juvederm fillers.

Hormone services cover bioidentical hormone optimization, pellet therapy and testosterone options. Pellet implants are placed under the skin in the office and are typically repeated every three to four months, with hormone levels checked through lab work. Men are often steered toward bioidentical hormone cream because pellet placement on the beltline can be uncomfortable.

Combines gynecology, medical aesthetics and hormone care in one practice, with a bioidentical hormone protocol that the founder describes as the most current and scientifically based method available to him.
