Two friends founded Revolution Hair Co in October 2015. The salon describes itself as the first metaphysical hair salon in Tampa, a claim it makes about itself.

The hair menu runs from haircuts for men, women and children, either dry cut or shampoo, cut and style, to shampoo blow-drys from $40 and iron work from $30 that uses curling, wanding or flatiron styling on clean, dry hair. Formal styling for weddings, parties and other events starts at $65, and festival hair starts at $35 in styles from bold to subtle. Color work ranges from basic color for root touch-ups or full changes, starting at $120, to highlights and lowlights from $140. A free color consultation is available by call or text. Color correction and custom color work both begin with a consultation. Color correction addresses root regrowth, over-processed ends, faded color, box dye and color bands, and the salon says its staff have the skills and experience for it.

Hair treatments include a Brazilian Blowout from $200, which adds a protein layer to reduce frizz and smooth hair for up to 12 weeks. Deep conditioning starts at $25 and includes crystal-infused aromatherapy. A luxury steam treatment starts at $35 and includes a shampoo, an exfoliating scrub, a massage and a steamed deep conditioning mask; it can be booked alone or added to another service. Feather extensions start at $7 and are made from ethically sourced feathers. Facial waxing starts at $15 and uses a crème-based wax. Brow tinting includes a complimentary brow clean-up. Any hair service can take a $10 tuning fork add-on, which the salon says is calming and can help with stress and anxiety.

Tarot and oracle readings are hosted on select weekdays from 12 PM to 5 PM, and walk-ins and appointments are both welcome. The online shop sells tarot and oracle cards, crystals, candles, oils, jewelry and divination tools. Laura runs Wild Flower Massage Therapy from the salon.

The salon is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 PM to 8 PM, Thursday from 12 PM to 5 PM, Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and is closed on Mondays. Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. A deposit may be required for large appointments. A cancellation made 24 hours or less before the appointment forfeits that deposit, and the deposit transfers only to a rescheduled appointment booked with more than 24 hours notice. A deposit may not be refundable on a full cancellation if specialty products were bought for the service. Clients more than 15 minutes late may need to rebook if the service can't be completed in the time left. Custom festival hair deposits are non-refundable.
