Reveal MedSpa

Reveal MedSpa was founded by Carmen Wong-Restua, a registered nurse with a BSN from Cal State East Bay. She worked for more than 17 years as a respiratory and wound care nurse before moving into aesthetic nursing, and the medspa's services reflect that clinical background. The stated mission is to offer a safe and welcoming place for skin care services and treatments.

Treatment planning is individual. Each client receives a personalized, comprehensive plan based on their own needs, and every client is offered a free 15-minute consultation. The Face Reality Acne Expert consultation can include the first treatment. The salon describes its treatments as among the most advanced and effective available, and says visible results can come within 90 days with Face Reality Acne Expert. Results vary from person to person.

The facial menu includes Dermaplaning, which exfoliates the skin and removes fine vellus hair; a Hydrojelly Mask Facial that infuses electrolytes into skin that lacks hydration; an Enzyme Facial suited to sensitive skin, with light chemical exfoliation; and a Cream Mask Facial that replenishes nutrients and oils in dehydrated skin. Chemical VI Peels are a medical-grade exfoliation and resurfacing treatment, and the salon recommends three sessions. SkinPen microneedling, which the salon describes as FDA approved, stimulates the skin's natural wound healing process; the suggested course is an initial series one month apart, a session at six months, then maintenance every six months. Botox is offered to soften frown lines and crow's feet.

Booking is by appointment only, and a credit card is required to hold appointments. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations incur a fee; Tuesday appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled by 3pm on the Saturday before. Clients are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, since late arrivals shorten the treatment time. Clients who arrive and receive no service are charged a minimum of $50, and longer multi-service appointments require a non-refundable $500 deposit. Unused products can be returned within 14 days with a dated receipt, but cash refunds are not given. Treatments and packages are non-transferable and non-refundable, and they expire one year after purchase.
