Reve was established in 1995 and began in Rumson. Christopher and Barbara Y. own and run the salon together.

The salon describes its approach as personal and friendly, and it says it has more than 30 years of experience. Extensions typically last 3 to 6 months with proper care, depending on the method and hair growth.

The cutting menu covers women's and men's haircuts and perms. Each cut starts with a consultation, then washing, conditioning and detangling if needed, cutting with scissors and clippers, and a blow-dry. The salon suggests haircuts every 6 to 8 weeks, or every 4 to 6 weeks for shorter or damaged hair.
