The Kerns neighborhood is where it sits, and according to the salon, Time Out Magazine named Kerns the fifth coolest neighborhood in the world. Street parking is available in front of the salon and in the surrounding blocks.

ReVamped describes itself as a group of stylists working to create a friendly, inclusive space for guests and staff, and as a safe space for its LGBTQIA+ community. It offers gender-neutral pricing. The salon also describes itself as leading a rebellion against the toxic side of the salon industry, and its brand as distinctly alternative.

Haircuts are customized rather than standard. Stylists adapt current trends or classic styles to each client's hair and lifestyle, and the salon specializes in vivid colors, razor cuts, shags and mullets. Curly Cuts are built around natural curl texture, with a cut, a style and a haircare routine.

A visit is relaxed. Employee stylists can be booked through the Book Now button on the website, and same-day appointments are offered when they are available. Walk-ins are not guaranteed. Solopreneur stylists follow their own policies, which are listed in their booking information. Gift cards are redeemed with employee stylists only, and eGift cards are sold in $50, $100, $200 and $300 amounts or a custom amount. The salon is open every day from 9am to 7pm. For questions the website does not answer, the team returns phone messages within a few days.
