Resonate Health Spa

Resonate Health Spa is owned by Sunnie Brown, who began working as a massage therapist in Southern California 25 years ago and later spent 18 years in Portland, Oregon. The spa is set up as a collection of independent practitioners, each bringing their own expertise and techniques to treatments. The business says it aims to offer a peaceful, relaxing experience.

The facial menu is the core of the spa. Intuitive facials, with products chosen for the skin's needs in the current season, run from 45 to 90 minutes and start at $160 to $250. Longer options include a 120-minute Royal Treatment with light therapy and microcurrent muscle firming, a 60-minute tighten, tone and lift facial using two firming masks, and a 60-minute four-layer seaweed facial. Add-ons such as acid peel layers, light therapy, high frequency, microcurrent and dermaplaning can be combined with most facials. Dr. Pen collagen induction microneedling, skin rejuvenation peels in progressive, mid-depth and deep options, and a buccal facial that includes massage of the cheeks, jaw and facial muscles are also offered. Energy attunement sessions, which blend skin care, massage and energy work, are available as full facials or as stand-alone soul care sessions.

Waxing and sugaring cover the face, brows, underarms, legs, bikini and Brazilian areas. Sacred waxing and sugaring require at least four weeks of hair growth and are not offered for male genitalia. Brow and lash services include hard wax brow shaping, brow tinting in several shades or henna, lash tinting in black or brown, and combined brow and lash tinting. Clients are asked to avoid exfoliation for three to five days before brow, lip and facial services. Cancellations, reschedules and changes need 24 hours' notice, or the scheduled service is charged in full.

Product support is a big part of the business. A Shopping Experience is a 30-minute, no-charge appointment in store with Sunnie for extra time and guidance choosing products. A free consultation with Roshel reviews a client's current skin regimen and goals. First-time clients and anyone who has not visited in over a year can book a 20-minute in-person consultation for $40, with a $20 deposit, and virtual skin guidance over Zoom starts at $50. Products can be picked up at a scheduled time at no charge, shipped by USPS Priority within the United States, or bought as gift cards in store or online.

The spa is open Monday, Tuesday and Friday in the morning and early afternoon, and Wednesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 6 PM. The Peacock room is upstairs and is not ADA accessible; a lower-level room can be booked by calling the spa. Sunday morning yoga takes place in the Peacock Lounge, and the Yoga With Heather class runs 1 hour 30 minutes at $25 per class.

Practitioners work independently, each bringing their own training and techniques, and the spa aims to offer a calm, unhurried visit. Skin care advice is tailored to each client's individual needs.
