Profound is an energy-based facial treatment intended to support elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid without surgery, fillers or toxins.

Skin care treatments address acne, including blackheads, dark spots and extractions, as well as discoloration and pigmentation from sun exposure or aging. The practice also offers a range of medium-depth chemical peels, hair loss information and related care, mole and skin tag removal, sclerotherapy injections for spider veins, and wart removal for all types, including genital warts.

Laser hair removal uses a hand-held laser that targets each follicle; the pigment in the hair absorbs the light and damages the follicle to slow regrowth. Most patients need four to six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, though the number varies by patient, and it does not work on gray or light-colored hair. Before the first session, patients avoid tanning and sun exposure for two weeks, wear sunscreen in the meantime, and avoid waxing, threading and tweezing for at least four weeks, since only shaving is allowed. Shaving with a new clean razor the day before is advised. A topical numbing paste can be applied 30 minutes ahead, and the center can send a prescription to a pharmacy. Redness, irritation and bumps are common afterward, usually settling within hours and sometimes lasting up to a week, and a sunburn-like feeling may occur right after treatment.

Scheduling and policies: the office aims to fit appointments in within one to two days of contact and encourages patients to join health maintenance programs. Phone consultations are not offered; patients book an appointment with a provider. New patient forms can be completed online through the Forms tab before the visit. Appointments must be cancelled by phone at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $50 no-show fee. The practice no longer participates with insurance plans; for out-of-network benefits it provides a claim form, and cosmetic procedures are self-pay. Payment plans are offered through Cherry, a buy now, pay later company, with some plans at 0% APR and others interest-bearing with APRs as low as 5.99%, subject to approval.
