About
Leah Bienstock works as a physician assistant at Reflect Medical & Cosmetic Center, where she practices as a PA-C and is licensed. She holds board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She completed a degree in psychology at Michigan State University in 1994, and in 1998 earned a physician assistant degree with honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale. Her early clinical years were spent in post-graduate family medicine, where she served for six years and built a patient following. She later spent two years at a general dermatology practice serving a diverse patient population, treating a wide range of skin conditions. She now works alongside a dermatologist whose focus is cosmetic dermatology and laser treatment suitable for all skin tones. She holds certificates in the Art and Science of Botox and the Art of Dermal Fillers. In 2006 she authored an article on actinic keratoses in The Journal of Family Practice. She has acted as a speaker for Amgen Pharmaceuticals, Coria Laboratories and the Warner-Lambert Company, giving lectures on those companies' dermatological medications. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey Society of Physician Assistants. To stay current, she attends lectures and seminars and draws on resources from the American Academy of Dermatology. Her practice covers general skin, hair and nail concerns, with a particular focus on skin of color, acne, dark spots, psoriasis and eczema. She also removes moles and treats leg veins with sclerotherapy. Her approach is to give each patient an honest opinion aimed at enhancing natural beauty. Patients describe her as knowledgeable and thorough, and she examines the skin to pinpoint the underlying problem before prescribing. A client treated for dark spots describes her as caring and accurate.
