Skin cancer care includes screening, dermoscopy-based evaluation, biopsy, treatment of basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma, and superficial radiotherapy for certain skin cancers. Mohs micrographic surgery, including reconstruction, is performed in the office at the Atlantic Highlands, Manhattan and Fresno locations, where reflectance confocal microscopy is also available as an imaging option that does not require a biopsy. Dermatopathology, the microscopic analysis of biopsy tissue, is handled in house at the Fresno office.
To book, patients can use the online patient portal, choosing an office, provider and time. Before a first visit, the practice asks patients to bring photo ID, their insurance card front and back, and a list of current medications and allergies, and forms can be completed ahead of time. Insurance questions, records requests and general questions can go through the contact form, while medical questions are best directed by phone to the office. The patient portal also gives access to medical records, care instructions and online bill payment.
Treatment plans are tailored to each patient's needs, with a stated aim of effective care, good cosmetic outcomes and minimal scarring when growths are removed.
