Quality Of Excellence Hair Designers has operated since 2009 at Cinnaminson Avenue in Palmyra, serving ladies and gents. Owner and lead stylist Tijuana Lane founded the salon and also Healthy Hair Restoration, the scalp and hair care program offered alongside regular services. Everyday work ranges from cuts, color and blowouts to braids, extensions, loc maintenance, waxing and makeup.

The salon says its aim is open, honest conversation with every guest, with realistic expectations agreed between stylist and client. Consultations come first for several color, relaxer and extension services, and relaxers are not offered to clients under 16. Extension services carry a $75 deposit that is non-refundable.

Some house rules help the appointment run on time and keep things private. Clients who arrive more than 15 minutes late need to speak with their stylist to keep the booking, or it will be rescheduled. Children under 13 are not booked and should not come to appointments. Anyone not feeling well is asked to reschedule, and clients are asked to park in the front lot or on the street rather than behind the building. Phone use during appointments should be done with earphones. The salon places a priority on client discretion and privacy.

For hair and scalp concerns, the restoration side of the business includes a one-hour scalp analysis consultation at $65, which comes before the 12-month Healthy Hair Restoration and Strengthening Care program with growth factors, priced at $4,560. Pricing for these programs is not discussed over the phone. A 35-minute version with or without laser is $65. A three-hour Luxury Hair and Scalp Spa Care service at $175 includes scalp massage and a deep conditioning mask. The Sequence Smoothing System, a three-hour relaxing treatment described as formaldehyde-free, costs $250 and is available to ages 16 and up.

Consultations come first for several color, relaxer, extension and restoration services, so expectations are set before a booking.
